AMS.NET Solutions: Client Comments

Brentwood Union School District

AMS has been the primary company involved in the design of the Brentwood Union Elementary School District data network and just recently completed a major upgrade, bringing the infrastructure at each of our 6 schools to a switched 10/100/1000 backbone and readying us to implement IP Telephony. One of the things I appreciate about AMS is their ability to work within limited budgets and repurpose existing equipment to get the maximum value out of what we have. In education, it is important to work in small steps that consistently move in the direction of large goals. AMS is not only good at helping to plan the large goals, but also excellent at getting the most out of the small steps.

We have worked for years with AMS.Net on various technology projects. Recently they helped us with the conversion of 20 file servers from Novell to Windows 2000, Migrating to Exchange 2000 and switching our DNS from Bind to Windows 2000. AMS was instrumental in the planning and conversion of these systems. Students, teachers, and administrators experienced very little interruption of service. Other major projects have included VPN installation and deployment and migrating from Checkpoint firewalls to redundant Cisco PIX firewalls. Through it all we have experienced a significant increase in network reliability and ease of systems management. Their staff are knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend AMS for any technology project.
